Individual traders were disadvantaged
A few years ago, our team realised something was going wrong on the Crypto markets and it made everyday arbitrage traders, just like us, concerned about what was happening.
We realised many arbitrage traders Hodling proof of work coins that do not yield any interest ( no staking features) like bitcoin were trying to grow their bitcoins by selling all their bitcoin at exchange 1 at a higher price, withdraw proceeds, deposit it to exchange 2 and buying their bitcoin back plus a little bit more at a lower price than what they sold it for 3 hours ago. It's easy to see why new or beginner arbitrage traders did things this way: they couldn't possibly know of over the 35,000 coin-pairs out there which other coins offered better arbitrage opportunities than bitcoin and how to drastically reduce the 3 hours delay risk between the time they sell high and buy low again to miliseconds between the two exchanges. But beginners weren't the only ones. Even experienced arbitrage traders were doing things this way (just a lot longer) and underperforming.
As we grew, we quickly began to realise many arbitrage traders simply couldn't imagine executing a sell high & buy low arbitrage trade within miliseconds and don't have the time to do a full arbitrage opportunity analysis of all the coin-pairs or were put off because it seemed very complicated.
While it might sound obvious, we also knew that behind every arbitrage trade executed is someone's money. Therefore, executing an arbitrage trade with a 3 hour delay can really hurt in the long run. We set out to change that in 2022.
While we've grown really ever since, our mission and purpose has been simple from the beginning.
